The Ministry of Social Development (MOSD) published a clarification on the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to provide students of the government schools from social insurance and low-income families with school supplies and nutrition (meals).
The ministry indicated that each student will be entitled to RO25 for school supplies, to be spent once at the beginning of the school year, starting from September 2022, while each student will receive RO11, which will be spent as daily food vouchers at a rate of 500bz for 22 school days per month.
An amount of RO4, 73,070 has been approved for the first semester – 2022/2023.
Students will return to school for the new academic year on September 4.
