The Ministry of Education issued a statement suspending studies in schools affected by power outages in a number of wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman.
The statement, “In view of the continued efforts of the concerned authorities to complete the restoration of service to the rest of the affected states, and based on coordination with the stakeholders in the Public Services Regulatory Authority, the Ministry of Education decided to suspend studies in public and private schools affected by the power outage tomorrow, Tuesday 6/9/2022.”
The directorate generals in the governorates of the Sultanate have the authority to identify these schools in coordination with their administrations and according to the situation of each governorate separately, provided that students resume work on Wednesday, 9/7/2022. It called for all necessary precautions to protect students and school property and ensure that the sources of electric currents are closed.”
