Muscat: In line with Muscat Municipality’s vision to improve the road network and mitigate traffic congestion across the governorate, the municipality, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, will Al Murtafa Road dualisation project (Phase II).
With a total length of 8km, the new project covers the area between the Al-Murtafa Roundabout to the Armed Forces Hospital Roundabout, then to the intersection of Sultan Qaboos University. There will be also an improvement of the road linking the Al-Mawaleh Intersection via Armed Forces Hospital Roundabout to the Muscat Expressway.
The project also includes the dualization of Sultan Qaboos University Street (Al Khoud) from the university intersection to the current traffic intersection next to the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Centre (SQCCCRC) with a length of 1,200.
