Cairo: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information, took part on Wednesday in the 97th session of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media, held at the Arab League’s Secretariat General headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The meeting discussed a spectrum of topics, particularly activating the Arab Media Strategy (2022-2026), the role of media and developing its tools to combat the phenomena of terrorism and extremism, the Arab media map for sustainable development and the Arab Media Excellence Award.
The meeting also touched on methods of including media studies in school curricula (of member states) for all grades, among other initiatives and projects in a bid to reach an Arab consensus on important media issues.
