Muscat- The Ministry of Health (MOH) will start giving the seasonal influenza vaccine to people over 50 years of age, and people with chronic medical conditions such as respiratory diseases, heart diseases, renal, hepatic, neurological, hematological, or metabolic disorders, including uncontrolled diabetes, and obese adults and children, in addition to pregnant women, pilgrims, and health workers.
The ministry called on groups to go to the nearest health institution to take the seasonal influenza vaccine to avoid infection with influenza that affects the respiratory system, which may cause serious complications.
The ministry said citizens and residents not in the target groups can avail of the vaccine from the private health sector.
