Captain Azzan al Rashdi, the team leader, said “the Governorate of Dhofar was the best place to embrace such an event with its greenery, fog and pleasant weather, stressing that Salalah is definitely a suitable environment for motorsports.”
“Certainly, sports cars are the most interesting and entertaining international sports that enjoy worldwide attention. This kind of sport has a large number of fans and followers at the level of all age groups and nationalities,” he said.
Al Rashdi explained that the sports car team “Super Cars” affiliated to Oman Automobile Association (OAA) was established in 2014 with 65 members. The team is specialised with organising motor sports activities, either in the Sultanate or in the United Arab Emirate (UAE).
