MUSCAT: Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar arrived in Oman on Tuesday for an official visit. HH Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations, Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan led the welcoming party for the guest.
A a statement issued by the Diwan of Royal Court reads as follows: “In order to bolster the age-old relationship and the historic and cultural bonds between the Sultanate of Oman and Zanzibar, and to enhance existing cooperation between the two countries in various fields to serve the joint interests and achieve further progress, development, and prosperity, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar, will pay a several-day official visit to the Sultanate of Oman starting from Tuesday (October 11).
“Aspects of the existing cooperation between the two countries and ways of strengthening them to realise the desired objectives and the aspirations of both peoples will be reviewed during the visit.” — ONA
