Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) have exempted Omani ships and marine units from registration fees, renewal, and fines until December 31, 2022, provided that the renewal period does not exceed one year according to Article (26) of the Maritime Law.
The waiver decision will cover various maritime means of transport, including commercial ships, artisanal and coastal fishing vessels, ships, boats, cruise ships, and water bikes; in addition to service ships and boats.
