Muscat: In the run-up to the forthcoming elections of members of municipal councils (Third Term), the Ministry of Interior has extended, till November 17, the period set for receiving citizens’ applications of entry in the Electoral Register, as well as the period of transfer of registration files from one Wilayat to another.
The ministry urged citizens who have not yet entered their names in the Electoral Register to speed up the action and provide their applications via the website of the elections (elections.om). The applicants are required to ensure that their personal identity cards are supplied with the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) feature.
It also urged those who wish to get their files transferred to do so via the same site and in accordance with the permanent residency address registered in their identity cards.
