Muscat: The National Museum will inaugurate tomorrow the exhibition “Omani Civilisation: Origin and Development” at the Sharjah Archeology Museum of the Sharjah Museums Authority. The exhibition will be held till 7 June 2023.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Supreme Council and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah. It will also be attended by Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum.
The exhibition includes a number of selected and varied artefacts related to different periods of time of the human and cultural heritage of Oman, starting from prehistoric times (125,000-300 BC), the Stone Ages, the Bronze Age, all the way to the Iron Age, and the beginning of the Islamic era.
