A new interface with a tech savvy design
In a move aimed at enhancing customer experience and improving the quality of services offered, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, has announced the launch of a new version of its mobile application. This update includes a comprehensive development of over 200 features and services, with an interface designed to ensure easy navigation and quick access to different functionalities. The redesign aims to provide an integrated user experience that reflects the Bank’s commitment to innovation and excellence in serving its customers.
The update features a redesigned application interface that offers smooth and flexible navigation, providing users with a distinguished experience based on each customer’s usage. Additionally, the login page will save the user ID after the first login to simplify the process, offering an extra option to facilitate access alongside other available methods such as the Face and Touch ID.
After accessing their account, customers will enjoy an improved Home screen with a sleek interface that prioritizes simplicity of navigation. Cards have been segregated based on card type for ease of review and management. Customers can choose to show or hide the account balance, share the account details such as name, account number, SWIFT and IBAN. The new interface offers a customizable dashboard through Quick Links for users to personalize their experience by selecting to save their most used functionalities for direct access.
Additionally, customers will also benefit from a further simplified registration process using NFC reader for android phones, the ability to apply for supplementary credit card, change credit card repayment account, create a standing order for prepaid card transfers, carry out fund transfer from prepaid card to current account or savings account, view a monthly bill payment comparison chart and accept or reject e-mandates which simplify the payment process for regular payments. They can also renew their debit card with the option to select delivery by courier or at branch, customers can also benefit from the enhancements made to the mutual funds dashboard that now facilitates the investment and redemption of Bank Muscat Al Tharwa Fund and Meethaq Equity Fund.

Bank Muscat Mobile Banking provides over 200 features and services to customers, making their banking needs accessible on the go. The list of services available include: tokenization of cards through mobile banking, instant account opening for children, online generation of debit, credit, prepaid card PIN, Themaar deposit account opening, application for Shukran prepaid card, initiate mobile payment via QR code through Mobile Shake, guardians are able to view and perform transactions in minors account and open a Themaar Savings plan on children’s account, retrieve stamped account statements, delivery request to collect cards by courier, stop cheque requests, ROP fine payment, and update mobile numbers or email IDs associated with credit and prepaid cards.
The Bank’s mBanking and Internet Banking services also include speed transfers to a number of countries including India, the Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt and Bangladesh. It’s services also includes a Zakat calculator and facility for charity contributions. Additionally, International transfers to more than 70 countries is provided through the Mobile Banking app. Customers can also utilize the app for its bill payment facilities across a variety of utility services such as electricity, water, telecom, mobile top ups, instant credit card bill payments, and school fees payments.
It must be particularly noted that Bank Muscat’s Mobile Banking app, which offers maximum convenience to customers, is highly secure and does not store any sensitive information or transaction logs on the phone. Data exchange from this application is encrypted based on the best industry standards and dual-factor authentication.
