Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, has been honoured with the Innovative Community Driven Initiatives award for 2025 at the Oman Forum. This prestigious recognition, presented by Alam al-Iktisaad Wal A’mal (AIWA) magazine under the auspices of H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, celebrates the Bank’s pioneering efforts in implementing quality initiatives that have fostered a positive and sustainable impact. Zuwaina bint Abdullah Al Sharji, Assistant General Manager of Central Operations & Change Management at Bank Muscat, received the award on behalf of the Bank.
The Forum, titled “Promoting Local Content: Towards a Sustainable and Diversified Economy,” addressed critical topics such as the implementation of national policies for local content as a strategic tool for economic diversification, strengthening Omani industries, encouraging local projects, reducing import dependence, maximizing local resources, and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship

She emphasized the Bank’s commitment to empowering various groups and supporting projects that make a tangible difference in people’s lives, thereby setting a benchmark for responsible community work. Al Sharji reiterated the Bank’s dedication to continuing this approach, which plays a significant role in bolstering the national economy and promoting sustainable development.
Bank Muscat’s approach to community-driven initiatives goes beyond mere support, focusing on sustainable solutions with long-term positive impacts. This aligns with the Bank’s policy of adopting a renewed vision for community service, contributing to individual development, enhancing social well-being, and creating genuine opportunities for growth and development.
The Bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes are fully aligned with Oman Vision 2040, which aims to achieve sustainable development and enhance the well-being of Omani society through public-private partnerships. The programmes focus on supporting education, health, the environment, and youth, contributing to the national goals set by the country’s wise leadership to build a strong and balanced society.
Bank Muscat’s social responsibility and community service initiatives include sustainable programmes such as “Tadhamun,” benefiting over 2,200 families from social welfare backgrounds, and “Green Sports,” which supports local teams and Omani youth across various governorates, with 203 beneficiary teams comprising about 70,000 members, and Maliyat Academy initiative aims to promote financial awareness among school students, having reached over 23,000 students to date. Additionally, “Al Wathba” Academy provides entrepreneurs with consultations to develop their businesses and projects.
Bank Muscat is keen to cooperate and partner with various entities as well as civil society organizations in order to support their initiatives that serve various categories، along with launching other initiatives that continuously receive community admiration.
