Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, has a proven track record of managing various funds and portfolios across a range of asset classes including equities, fixed income and real estate in Oman and outside of Oman for over 30 years. Bank Muscat is the leading asset manager in Oman and in the GCC region, with approximately US$ 3.6 billion of assets under management. It offers tailored investment solutions to institutional as well as retail investors.
Bank Muscat added its recently launched fund, Bank Muscat Al Tharwa Fund, to Bank Muscat’s Mobile Banking platform. Thus, retail investors can now invest and redeem their investments in Bank Muscat Al Tharwa through Bank Muscat Mobile Banking, which is an added option as the subscription and redemption to the fund was already available through Bank Muscat’s internet banking platform. This has eased the process of investment into Bank Muscat’s mutual funds for eligible investors, as they are now able to complete the entire process of investing through digital channels, making fresh investments and redeeming existing investments without the need to visit any branch or submit physical applications.
Bank Muscat Oryx Fund and Bank Muscat Money Market Fund continue to remain available to investors on Bank Muscat Mobile Banking and Internet Banking platforms. Thus, the addition of the newly launched fund provides investors more options to invest in our top performing investment solutions. Corporates and government institutions may approach their account relationship managers for investment into these mutual funds. Along with the addition of a new fund, new features have been also added to mobile banking and internet banking platforms which allow the investors to view detailed information of their investment including the cost of investment, market value of investment, gains and return over the invested amount and investment period.
Launched in 2024, Bank Muscat Al Tharwa Fund, provides investors with stable returns through regular dividend distributions along with capital appreciation. The Fund provides the benefits of diversification by investing in two key asset classes i.e. equity and fixed income and the allocation to these asset classes will be based on prevailing market conditions and objectives of the Fund. Accordingly, the Al Tharwa Fund is the first of its kind offering in the Sultanate where investors get the opportunity to invest in both equity and fixed income securities across GCC regional and international markets. The Fund offers daily liquidity with no minimum holding period. Investors can subscribe to the Fund with a minimum subscription amount of OMR 50 and there is no maximum limit for investment.
