Ooredoo has been honoured with the prestigious Social Impact Award for educational initiatives at the Jawa’iz Basma 2025 ceremony, which took place at the St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort. The recognition celebrates the company’s flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, the Goodwill Journey, which has been a cornerstone of Ooredoo’s commitment to empowering communities for over two decades.
The Jawā’iz Basma is a social impact recognition initiative that celebrates organisations and individuals who have made significant contributions to the social, environmental, and economic well-being of communities across the Sultanate.
The Goodwill Journey continues to deliver support and inspiration to towns and villages countrywide; from donating devices and supporting rehabilitation centres, to launching environmental awareness initiatives, women’s entrepreneurship programs and empowering youth, often in conjunction with prominent associations and government organisations. It reflects Ooredoo’s belief in having a long-term, sustainable impact and driving digital engagement, in line with their vision to support future generations.
The award reinforces Ooredoo’s role beyond a telecommunications provider, highlighting its position as an active and committed partner in national development.
