Meethaq Islamic Banking Continues Partnership with MoERA to Support the Zakat Campaign

In line with its leading role in promoting Islamic financial awareness and reinforcing the values of social solidarity, Meethaq Islamic Banking from Bank Muscat continues its strategic partnership with the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MoERA) to support the national Zakat campaign. Through this collaboration, Meethaq facilitates the collection of Zakat contributions by offering innovative and secure digital payment solutions that enable individuals to fulfil their religious obligations with ease and confidence.

As part of its commitment to advancing digital transformation and financial inclusion, Meethaq allows customers to pay Zakat directly through its’ mobile banking application, with funds transferred seamlessly to the Ministry’s designated Zakat account. The application enables customers to calculate and pay Zakat on various assets, including cash, gold, silver, trade goods, corps, and livestock. The service is also available through Internet Banking, ensuring accessibility anytime and anywhere while maintaining the highest standards of security and reliability. Customers may use the Ministry’s general Zakat account (0611006600660016) during the Holy Month of Ramadhan and throughout the year.
