Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested expats on charges of fraud and promoting counterfeit currency.
“The Directorate General of Inquiries and Investigations arrested expatriates on charges of fraud and promoting counterfeit currency, by deluding the victims into investing with them, offering them a commercial deal that achieved quick profits, which was then used in purchasing foreign currencies in exchange for financial benefits,” ROP said in a statement.
