MUSCAT : Teams from Civil Defense and Ambulances Authority rescued eight people who were marooned due to the overflowing of wadis in the Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate on Monday morning.
Captain Khalil bin Khalfan al-Hanashi, head of the Operations Department in Al-Dakhiliyah, said that there have not been any reports of loss of lives or serious damage to properties in the governorate due to the tropical situation.

According to him, the Wadis of Nafa and Fanja in the Wilayat of Bidbid and Wadi Surur in the Wilayat of Sumail, as well as Wadi Al-Rasis and Wadi Al-Hajar in the Wilayat of Izki were flooded.
Meanwhile, the Royal Air Force of Oman is continuing searches and rescue operations for a number of families who are believed to be isolated or stranded in different wilayats in the North and South Al Batinah governorates.
Helicopters have rescued four citizens in the Wilayat of Al Khaboura and transferred them to the Royal Oman Police Station in the wilayat and transferred them later to hospitals for health chek-ups.
