We are looking for an outstanding professional for the role of Accounting Supervisor based in Muscat,Oman.
What are the responsibilities?
- You are the effective Business Partner for the assigned Country to ensure timely and accurate month/ quarter end closing and reporting. Responsible for handling day to day accounting topics related to Financial modules in SAP.
- Responsible for accounting function/ transactions and to ensure that general accounting processes and function is in adherence to Siemens Financial Guidelines (SFRG)
- Ensure transactions are recorded in conformance to and in line with Siemens International Chart of Accounts
- Monitor and manage key Balance Sheet position; e.g. Unallocated AR, Advances to Suppliers, Retention, Advances from Customer and Retention – Drive Balance Sheet Review process along with the hub team
- Responsible for resolving reporting and closing queries qualitatively and develop controls to avoid repeated issues
- Support quarterly and yearly external audit process by providing timely information and resolve queries from auditor qualitatively (if applicable for the assigned country)
- Ensure month end closing process is executed smoothly in coordination with Service Hub and ESPRIT reporting is done with high quality and as per defined timelines
- A trusted Business Partner for Divisions -focusing on guiding on complex accounting topics, remediate issues timely and effective monitoring of topics
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and to drive successful implementation of the initiatives
What do you need to qualify for this job?
- Commercial, Finance, Accounting or BA degree from reputable University or college
- Experience with the commercial background ideally from similar organization
- Good Analytical skills with Accounting background, Chartered Accountant preferred
- Good communication skills, Fluent in English language preferably in a regional function
- SAP working experience is an added advantage. Working level knowledge of ESPRIT will be helpful
- Awareness about Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines
- Omani nationals are highly preferred for this role
