Senior Construction Engineer – Completions & Turnover
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
Understands application of the current project methodologies and EPC Contractor execution strategies
Communicating the Project safety standards, site rules and regulations as captured in the PMC and EPC Contractor’s HSSE plans to all personnel
Monitor and enforce the adherence to the site standards, rules and regulations
Ensuring overall construction is executed in accordance within applicable specifications, drawings, codes and standards and to the requirements of the Contract
Participating in regular on-site EPC Contractor progress meetings, at interface coordination meetings and attend other project meetings as required
Ensuring work and quality related inspections are carried out in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans
Understand and responsible for managing the site safety rules for the defined plant area and responsible for the EPC Contractor scope to be executed including all the interfaces and safety requirements
Technically review construction documentation issued by EPC Contractor
Ensure the Contractor work scope is managed, controlled and risk assessed by the Permit to work
Participate in site safety audits regarding work execution, permits, work site standards and workforce knowledge of the work
Ensure all preparatory work is completed prior to commencement of work
Ensure accurate progress reporting of physical scope completion and endorse as necessary daily progress report and time sheets
Detail the work progress, number of contractor personnel and equipment available on site and other related items identified in the scope of work of the EPC Contractor
Carry out inspection, surveillance witnessing of contractor activities, ensuring records are maintained, including as-built data
Report any EPC Contractor / sub-contractor non-conforming or non-compliant activities to the PMC Construction Manager
Possess a full understanding of System Completions and the processes and steps to achieve Mechanical Completion.
Skills / Qualifications
Degree, Diploma or other technical qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognized university, whilst a higher degree would also be beneficial
Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
Minimum Industrial experience: 12 years
Experience in similar position: 6 years
Experience in PMC / EPC organizations in the field of Refinery / Petrochemicals industries in handling construction work of major projects of value not less than US $500 million each
Strong supervisory skills
Fluent English skills
