Former Oman hockey coach Saeed Ali Sibaten Naqvi passed away in Muscat on Wednesday.
A respected figure in Oman’s sports circles, he was the mentor to several international hockey players from both Oman and India.
He played a key role in setting up Oman Olympic Committee, where he served for nearly 18 years.
Naqvi has been a recipient of the Indo-Oman Friendship Award.
