Network Support Specialist
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
To ensure 24/7 smooth and efficient running of all Network Infrastructure, OSS, as per set standard.
Ensure Operational processes and guidelines are within agreed SLAs/OLAs.
Responsible for restoring all incidents impacting or degrading services of Vodafone Oman, as early as possible and maintaining maximum Network & Service availability in coordination with MS suppliers and partners.
Manage unplanned interruption and disruptions to Vodafone Oman Mobile Network infrastructure and services.
Ensure proactive periodic Health check of Network / applications /systems and 100% back up of Network configuration.
Accountable for Core Network, Data Centre ecosystems, and their performance, capacity, security and disaster recovery, logs and data management.
Responsible for the bug fixing and escalation to the line manager to minimize the service disruption.
Generate proper and appropriate reports, dashboards and views to all stakeholders at agreed intervals.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
Strong data Analytics skills
Be able to work independently and must have prior knowledge on how to manage, escalate and resolve telecom and IT technology issues in a management service context.
Must have managed Mobile Core Cloud, STP, VAS infrastructure extensively for a Telco Environment.
Good understanding 4G / 5G Call flow & End to End Network Architecture
Good understanding of industry standards & best practices like ITIL, ISO 20000 and ISO27000.
Excellent Partner and Vendor management, SLA /OLA definition, tracking and monitoring.
Ability to understand, adapt and maintain Next Generation OSS / BSS tools for Automated and Cognitive Operation.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Information Technology.
At least 5 years hands on work experience on 2G/4G/5G Mobile Core (SGW,PGW,MME,VoLTE,HLR etc)network.
Understanding of Cloud and Virtualized network Environment is a must. Should have worked on VNF, NFV,SDN environments.
Key performance indicators:
Mobile Network & Service Availability, accessibility, Performance and end customer experience.
All Network applications, solutions to be on the latest s/w version.
100% backup of all Network Nodes, applications, configurations, DR recovery and business continuity
Compliance to ITIL, ETOM processes and agile ways of working.
Maintains and updates documentation relating to services offered Provide reports, statistics and KPI dashboards as per agreed timelines and scope
