MHT hosts 4-day event to showcase luxury tourism products

Muscat: For four days, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will host the Oman Connections event from November 21 to 24, during which the best luxury tourism products will be

showcased with the participation of 30 international companies.

The event will also be supported by leading brands in the field of tourism, including the Al Bustan Palace Hotel (Ritz-Carlton), Shangri-La Barr al Jissah Resort, W Muscat, Royal Opera House Muscat, Bait al Zubair Museum, and Afaq Travel and Tourism.

The Connections Oman event aims to enhance partnership and communication between global luxury travel and tourism companies with their counterparts in the Sultanate of Oman, including hotel establishments and tourism experience providers using innovative communication methods (Connections Way), a pioneering approach to facilitating long-term business relationships by sharing

During one-on-one business meetings, global travel and tourism companies and tourism product providers will be able to enjoy authentic local activities including traditional Omani hospitality with dates and coffee, Omani musical instruments, and learning about the history of the Omani frankincense tree.

In addition to the business meetings, the participating delegation will also participate in an educational program to discuss the future of luxury tourism in the Middle East, in the presence of Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director General of Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and Clive Jacobs, President of Jacobs Media Group.

The program also includes Nazira al Harthy sharing her inspiring story as the first Omani woman to successfully climb Mount Everest.

Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director General of Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said: “The Sultanate of Oman is making a comeback as a luxury tourism destination for visitors from all over the world, and we are pleased to host the Connections Oman event to

contribute to the continuation of the recovery and return process. Connections Way) to do business in helping to establish long-term business relationships, and it is important that we provide valuable opportunities for Omani tourism to help reinvest in the region.”

Micaela Giacobbe, founder and managing director of Connections added, “We are delighted to be working with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to bring the first Connections event to Muscat. The event has attracted great interest from buyers of our luxury tourism products, and we look for ward to showcasing the best of Oman.
