Senior Mechanical Engineer

Languages:

• Arabic, English

Technical skills (including computer skills) :

· Strong mechanical background, Electrical risks

· General and detailed knowledge of the maintenance of rotating equipment and stationary equipment, repair practices and industry codes

· Familiar about CMMS ( Computerized maintenance management system),

· 7 years minimum Experience and 3 years sea water RO treatment plants,

· Leadership, communication and proactivity skills, Autonomy, Rigor, Availability, Commitment, Sense of teamwork and responsibility,

QHSE Requirements:

· Participates actively to the Quality-Safety-Environment approach of the plant.

· Applies the site Health & Safety, Quality and Environment rules, instructions and procedures.

· Has to report on any dysfunction regarding the site Health & Safety, Quality and Environment program.

· Develop job hazard analyses and risk assessment for Mechanical maintenance works.

Job Description

· Assures proper installation, preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and piping systems to ensure their maximum service life and efficiency as well as their optimal utilization.

· Planning Mechanical maintenance weekly plan and ensuring it has been carried out correctly.

Reports to the Maintenance Manager about preventive and corrective maintenance activities, work progress, defects, dysfunctions and possible improvements.
· Planning and arrange resources for the shutdown and outage activities.

Participates in the preparation of the monthly report in regard to mechanical equipment’s issues.
· Ensures that rotating and stationary equipment are maintained in ready condition at all times.

· Assists maintenance and operating supervision in troubleshooting problems with critical and less critical machinery; performs corrective maintenance operations.

· Investigates and corrects equipment issues, provides support in performing root cause analysis, provides technical leadership, trains staff and helps in the continuous development of the maintenance strategy.

Assures efficient and effective utilization of mechanical maintenance manpower, tools and equipment
· Develops maintenance repair procedures for critical machinery.

· Provides alternatives when equipment failure is impeding plant operation.

· Prepares Predictive and preventive maintenance schedules covering mechanical equipment and supervises/performs such maintenance as necessary.

· Supplies technical expertise on equipment and piping.

As necessary, contacts suppliers to determine best methods of repairing equipment and for verbal assistance in solving problems or to arranges for services by such suppliers.
· Reviews equipment repair to detect required design changes in cases where abnormal maintenance is being incurred.

· Supervising and coordinate Mechanical day to-day Maintenance activities with permit to works, manage emergency repairs.

· Generating related maintenance records/forms,

· Supervise and ensuring the work carried by mechanical subcontractors as per maintenance and service agreement.

· Reviewing Mechanical equipment spare parts lists and recommending the parts, monitor stock levels as well as ordering the spare parts.

· Participating in development of Mechanical Asset renewal plans and criticality study.

Evaluates targets achievements using performance indicators
Inspects and controls the quality of the work performed by his crews and proposes improvement for a better productivity and reliability,
Creating, closing work orders in CMMS if needed,
Performs other mechanical related duties as required.
Optimize Mechanical Maintenance cost by finding alternative solutions and time management.
Ensuring Predictive and preventive maintenance have been regularly carried out as per maintenance plan for critical and SEU ( Significant energy users).
Ensure Energy saving product are purchased.
