Muscat: Mwasalat has launched the smart transportation system, the first of its kind in the region.
“The smart transport system will play a pivotal role in improving and developing the public transport network as the system works on the concept of Artificial Intelligence. It will provide daily data and statistics on the movement of public transport users and their actual locations.
“The Mwasalat application will also encourage more people to use the public transport buses as they can purchase tickets via smart phones from the nearest waiting station. There will be no need to issue paper tickets,” the company CEO said.
