State Council to discuss Records and Archives Law amendments

Muscat: The State Council will hold on Monday its third regular session for the third annual convening of the seventh term, chaired by Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council.

The session will discuss the draft amendment of some provisions of the Records and Archives Law, issued by Royal Decree No. 60/2007, referred from the Council of Ministers and the report of the State Council’s Legal Committee on it.

The session will also discuss the Draft Law of Securities and the report of the Economic Committee of the State Council on it.

The agenda of the meeting will also see the swearing in of Maha bint Sulaiman Barakat Al Lamki before the State Council in accordance with Article  11 of the Internal Regulation of the State Council.

The meeting will also acquaint the participants with a number of reports submitted by members of the State Council and the report of the Secretariat General on the activities of the State Council for the period between the previous session and the current session.
