Muscat: More than 40 expatriates have been shifted to the Central Prison ahead of their deportation. They have been convicted for various offences under the Living Aquatic Wealth Law.
“To complete the administrative and legal procedures and in cooperation with the Duqm Police Station and the Al Wusta Governorate Police Command, this morning 49 expatriate workers were shifted to the Central Prison in preparation for their deportation outside the country. The workers were arrested earlier for violations related to the Living Aquatic Wealth Law,” the General Directorate of Agricultural, Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources in Al Wusta Governorate said.
