Muscat: Two persons were injured on Sunday when a car and truck collided in Al Jifnain, the Royal Oman Police reported.
“An accident involving a truck and a small car took place on the highway in Al Jafnain heading towards the capital area. As a result, two passengers in the small car sustained minor injuries. Upon being informed, the ROP rushed to the scene to deal with the accident”, an ROP officer said to Observer.
The injured passengers were transferred by the ROP ambulance to the nearest hospital for treatment. Efforts are in full swing to remove the wreckage from the road to regulate traffic movement.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a small car collided with a stationery object in the same area.
The ROP urged all motorists to be vigilant while driving to avoid potential distractions.
