How to renew driving license online in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police said that it is possible to renew the driving license online as part of the efforts to digitize all the services.

To be able to renew a driver’s license online, both citizens and residents must meet some conditions.

Activating the online authentication feature of civil status cards as well as PKI activation of SIM cards.

The license must be issued by the Royal Oman Police.

The license has expired or is about to expire in less than 30 days.

The license holder must be located in the Sultanate of Oman at the time of renewal.

The driver’s license holder is free from violations and fines.

The expiry date of the license’s vehicle record should not exceed one year.

Eye examination must be conducted at centers approved by the Royal Oman Police.

The results of the eye examination will be sent online by the approved examination center.

The eye examination results have a validity of 30 days.

It may be noted that even the ‘license book’ required for driving classes can be renewed online or via a mobile app.
