Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdel Fattah el Sisi, Arab Republic of Egypt at Al Alam Palace on Tuesday held a meeting to review bilateral relations at Al Alam Palace.
During which they reviewed the solid historical bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen them at all levels and raise them to new horizons of joint cooperation to serve their interests and meet the aspirations of their peoples.
The Egyptian President also met with a number of Omani businessmen at the Al Alam Palace on Tuesday, with the aim of promoting the development of trade and investment relations between the two brotherly countries, within the framework of the visit to the Sultanate.
The Egyptian President affirmed his country’s readiness to provide all facilities to Omani business investors wishing to invest in various economic fields, pointing to the important role played by the private sector in both countries.
Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Hassan Shukry, held a meeting at Al Alam Palace, and affirmed the depth of the Omani-Egyptian relations and the need to work on developing them in various fields of cooperation, especially in the economic, investment, tourism and scientific fields.
Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, confirmed in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the agreements, memoranda of understanding and executive programs signed today herald tangible returns in the coming period and constitute a great addition to the special relationship between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
For his part, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt are looking forward to doubling the volume of trade and investment exchange through the work of the joint Omani-Egyptian Committee, and that these agreements will be followed by more cooperation in various fields.
