President of Zanzibar receives Foreign Minister

Muscat: Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar received at his residence in Al Bustan Palace Hotel Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.

The meeting comes within the framework of the official visit of President of Zanzibar to the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting touched on the historical, bilateral relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and Zanzibar. Emphasis was laid on the mutual interest to promote these relations in various spheres, notably in economic, trade, investment and cultural areas to realize the joint benefits.

Regional and international issues of common interest were also reviewed during the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Mohammed Nasser al Wahaibi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Saud Hilal al Shithani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Republic of Tanzania, Khalid Hashil al Muselhi, Head of the Foreign Minister’s Office Department, Said Salim al Sinawi, General Consul of the Sultanate of Oman in Zanzibar, the delegation accompanying the guest and Abdallah Abasi Kilima, Ambassadorof the United Republic of Tanzania to the Sultanate of Oman.
