حصدت Ooredoo جائزة ’مركز البيانات‘ في فئة الاتصالات ضمن جوائز الشرق الأوسط للتميز التكنولوجي التي تقدمها مجلة الأعمال الآسيوية وذلك عن مركز بياناتها العصري. وقامت مجلة الأعمال الآسيوية باختيار Ooredoo للفوز بهذه الجائزة بعد منافسات مع عددٍ من أبرز شركات الاتصالات في المنطقة وذلك نظير منهج أعمالها المتكامل والتزامها بالتحول الرقمي وتميزها في الإبتكار لتوفير خدمات وحلول مميزة في مختلف الأوقات. كما تؤكد هذه الجائزة المكانة التي تتمتع بها Ooredoo كرائدة للتحول الرقمي وتجربة العملاء.
وقال الدكتور أحمد بن عبدالله العبري، الرئيس التنفيذي للتكنولوجيا والمعلومات في Ooredoo: “إننا في Ooredoo نركز على أهمية التحول الرقمي وعلى توفير أفضل تجربة لعملائنا الأفراد والتجاريين ولذا ونحرص دائما على مواصلة الاستثمار في تعزيز وتطوير قدرات شبكاتنا ومركز بياناتنا، والذي يعد عنصر أساسي لاستراتيجية أعمال الشركة ويتماشى مع الأهداف المرسومة في رؤية عُمان 2040. وفي عام 2021، قمنا بتدشين مركز بياناتنا في محافظة مسقط والذي يمتد على مساحة 7,000 متر مربع ويبرز البنية الأساسية لتقنية المعلومات بالشركة بطاقة استيعابية تبلغ 2.5 ميجاوات ومدة تشغيل مضمونة بنسبة تتجاوز 99.98%. كما وبدأنا في عام 2022 بناء ثلاثة مراكز بيانات جديدة في كل من ولاية بركاء وولاية صلالة وولاية صحار لدعم الشركات والمجتمعات المحلية بخدمات استضافة واسترداد وتخزين سحابي آمنة وموثوقة.

Ooredoo Wins in the Data Centre Telecommunications Category at Middle East Technology Excellence Awards 2023
The prominent Asian Business Review Magazine has recently recognised Ooredoo Oman for its transformative state-of-the-art data centre at the Middle East Technology Excellence Awards. Ooredoo won the award in the competitive Data Centre – Telecommunications category. Asian Business Review selected Ooredoo Oman from regional telecom companies for its holistic approach and commitment to digital transformation, innovation, connectivity and automation to provide excellent services. The award further cements Ooredoo’s position as a leader in digital transformation and customer experience.
Dr Ahmed Abdullah Al Abri, Chief technology & Information Officer, said “Ooredoo’s primary focus includes its digital transformation. Investing in our network capabilities and efficient data centre facilities is an essential component of Ooredoo’s business strategy and in line with the goals of Oman’s Vision 2040. In 2021, we inaugurated our flagship Data Centre in Muscat. The 7,000 sqm facility is a showcase of the company’s IT infrastructure, with a power capacity of 2.5 Megawatts and a guaranteed 99.98%+ uptime. In 2022, we also began building three new state-of-the-art data centres in Barka, Salalah and Sohar to support local businesses and communities with secure in-country hosting, recovery, and cloud services.”
