In collaboration with the Oman Academy for SMEs, Ooredoo has announced a groundbreaking program aimed at training, supporting, and guiding aspiring content creators. This initiative is designed to empower job seekers, university and college students, and beginner content creators by helping them reach a wider audience and enrich Omani content on social media platforms.
This program is structured to make a significant impact by offering participants the opportunity to earn a sustainable income, receive ongoing support and guidance, and market Omani brands, particularly during the Khareef season.
Feras Al Shaikh, Director of Branding and Communications at Ooredoo, said, “Our goal is to discover and nurture local talent in the field of content creation, helping them become prominent names in their respective areas. This partnership will not only benefit Ooredoo and the Oman Academy for SMEs but also support the promotion of Omani brands and the establishment of emerging companies in the field of social media marketing. Together, we are committed to upgrading the world of our participants, fostering innovation, and contributing to the growth of Oman’s digital economy.”
The program received significant attention from individuals and major brands, and the competition to participate in the program was high. The Academy has already started the program workshops, following the announcement of chosen participants and brands.
Fair and transparent voting methods will be employed to select the top 10 brands, and the public and participants will then vote to choose the top three, who will be honoured at an official ceremony which will also recognise and celebrate all those taking part.
The Oman Academy for SMEs will manage the program, including content, marketing, and branding, stakeholder engagement, and participant management. Ooredoo will also be offering the top participants an internship training program upon completion, to provide invaluable training and workplace experience, to further bolster their forward prospects and success.
