Underscoring the spirit of togetherness and reflection that the season of Ramadhan instils, COYA Muscat, Oman’s premier destination for exquisite Peruvian cuisine, has announced its inaugural Iftar celebration.
For the first time since its opening, COYA is inviting its patrons and guests to embrace the serenity of the Holy Month with a special Iftar set menu. Priced at RO 18 net per person, the Iftar experience begins with a traditional welcome of laban and dates at prayer time, followed by Guacamole (avocado, aji Amarillo) served with crisp corn tortillas. Guests can choose from a comforting Sopa de Calabaza, a velvety pumpkin soup with manchego cheese and quinoa furikake, or a tangy Sopa de Tomate, a smoked tomato soup with goat cheese and coriander.
The menu includes the refreshing Ensalada de COYA (baby gem lettuce, house dressing, pumpkin and goat cheese), the savoury Tequenos de maiz y queso (corn, cheese, chilli, coriander aioli), the hearty Anticucho de Setas (forest mushrooms, aji panca, parsley), the vibrant Trio de Maiz (grilled corn, jumbo corn, crispy corn, red chilli dressing), the succulent Gyoza de Langostinos (prawn and Chilean sea bass gyoza, bok choi, aji panca ponzu), and the appetising Anticucho de Pollo (chicken, aji amarillo, garlic).
The main course features the succulent Pollo a la Parilla (corn fed baby chicken, aji panca, coriander), the comforting Cazuela de Hongos (bomba rice hot pot, mushrooms, crispy enoki, seaweed butter), the seafood-rich Parihuela de Mariscos (mussels, squid, coconut, green mango), and the flavourful Lomo Saltado (wagyu tenderloin, smoked soy butter, crispy potatoes, corn rice), along with a side of crispy Patatas Bravas (crispy potatoes, spicy tomato huancaina sauce).
For dessert, the choices on offer are Pastel de Pistacho y Dátiles (a pistachio and date cake with vanilla), Churros de Naranja (zesty orange and lime churros with milk chocolate and dulce de leche sauce), or the refreshing Chicha Morada (a purple corn colada with wild berries and orange shortbread).
True to COYA’s commitment to excellence in every dish, the Iftar menu has been designed to delight the senses, offering a rich and flavourful dining experience. The highlight, of course, is its stunning outdoor seating area, which is air-conditioned for comfort and located next to the pool at The St. Regis, providing the perfect setting to enjoy a relaxed yet elegant meal with loved ones.
Emphasising that the spirit of Ramadan is about togetherness, reflection, and celebration, Mohammed Bennani, Restaurant General Manager, said, “We look forward to welcoming guests and providing them with an exceptional dining experience that reflects the traditions of Ramadan while also showcasing our unique Peruvian cuisine.”
COYA Muscat promises to deliver an exceptional Ramadan experience, combining scrumptious food, an inviting atmosphere, and a serene outdoor setting. Whether dining indoors or enjoying the breezy terrace, COYA Muscat promises an unforgettable Iftar celebration that brings together great food, exceptional ambience, and the warmth of the season.
