In a move to advance Oman’s digital financial ecosystem, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate, and Oman Telecommunication Company (Omantel), the first and leading provider of integrated telecom and technology services in Oman, have announced the activation of a state-of-the-art Web Payment API solution, marking a strategic step in delivering seamless enterprise payment experiences.
On this occasion, the two organizations signed the partnership agreement in the presence of Ahmed bin Faqir Al Balushi, Deputy CEO, Banking at Bank Muscat, and Aladdin Bait Fadhil, Chief Commercial Officer at Omantel.
This step represents a continuation of the Bank’s commitment to facilitating seamless integration of top-notch digital solutions for institutions. Further to the launch of API Banking last year, the Bank strengthened its partnership with various institutions and companies by implementing several ERP API services.
Besides, this integration enables Omantel’s corporate customers with accounts at Bank Muscat to settle payments directly through Omantel’s Business Self-Service Portal, streamlining the process, improving reconciliation, and enhancing overall user experience with secure, real-time transactions.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to digitizing Oman’s enterprise landscape and creating secure, efficient, and future-ready services. The collaboration leverages Bank Muscat’s advanced API capabilities and Omantel’s powerful digital infrastructure to deliver tangible value to customers.
