Muscat: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism celebrated on Monday along with the other countries the World Tourism Day (WTD) by organising a workshop on the security and safety requirements for Adventure Tourism.
The event coincided with the issuance of the Ministerial Decision No. 24/2021 on addition of the activity of organising adventure tourism tours to the activities of the travel and tour offices.
The participants reviewed the procedures necessary for the security and safety requirements for the activities of adventure tourism. The procedures were presented by the personnel concerned at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.
The recommendations of the workshop are hoped to be incorporated and implemented within the plans and programmes of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.
