    Student's problem

    In The Name Of Allah

    Hello every body . Just I want to share with you this problem that we see in schools.

    The most of Omani people don't know English enough (speaking - grammer - pronuoncation - and writting

    When I was in the last year in school I mean this year alot of my class student don't know how to speak it very well .... I think this is a big problem cause English is the important language specially in this century ..

    what I want from you put the causes of this problem.. and how we'll get it out???

    I agree with you

    I think teachers in school don't know how can teach students English language
    when I studied in school I don't speak English more than College because I had bad teacher
    But should all students learn English language by a lot of ways
    First, should they do practice
    Also, they should read a lot of books
    they should learn new words every day and new grammar

      Hi there

      Well since I am a teacher , I can say that learning a new language

      in such young age is a bit hard , because students struggle to learn

      many other things beside the language

      And the other important thing that applying grammar rules is a disaster

      as well since they find difficulties to speak English smoothly

      you see , grammar is the basis of everything in English and students

      don't have that approach at all , they need more time to learn and they

      need someone to follow their progress in learning the language

      like parents and siblings , because these ones are very close to

      them and they can observe them 24 / 7

        Hi dear ..

        First of all , the teachers in schools are Arab,so they speak in Aradic with students .Second ,students lack of enthusiasem of practice ,so they are shy of initiating speaking with their partners .

          I totally agree with you, I think the major problem is the lack of reading English magazines, newspapers etc. and the lack of watching English movies, because they are the most common ways to learn English now days, by this way people can pick up words and phrases.
          Another major problem is the system of teaching English, it could not be of the suitable standard according to the school is following.

            i enjoyed reading your comments and ideas about this problem

            i think the first step each student should take is the will of learning the language

            alot of students just dont want to learn the language and they want everything to be ready

            another thing is the way students look at english

            some see it as a simple subject while the others find it very difficault

            and both dont care to learn more and improve their language

            plus .. i find reading as the best way to learn english

            you learn how to write .. you learn grammer .. you learn new vocabulary

            just by reading

              HEY GYS
              the topic is very interesting

              what I can say is
              that all iteams of the language are important
              so we can't neclect one while we conceterate on others
              so speaking, writing, reading and grammer are very important in learning English
