now adays i am working in my project which is about Omani superstitions
so i would like to share it with you>>
Superstitions have risen in every country and every civilization. Oman as other countries has various kinds of superstitions. Some of the superstitions are related to children, some to women, and some to animals
so i will write the superstitions that i collect them frome my socity
and i will waite yours
In my village, if achild was born, its family will slaughter
a cock and they put some of the cock blood on the child's nose. They think that by this deed the child will live for a long time. Also, when the child is three months, they put eyeliner on the child's eye bow. They believe that the eyeliner will make his eye bow big and beautiful.
Mirrors have a place in the superstitions because ###
some people do not accept putting a mirror in front of the
child and they say that the child will lose his sight
Instead of going to hospitals to get medications, some people go to specific springs and ponds which are near beaches. For example, when a child or any member of a family was sick, his family will take him immediately to these kinds of springs. The parents bath their child with the water of the spring because they suppose that the water has blessing, so the child will be recovered. Besides, they put some bread and sweets near the spring and this food is for genies who will recover their child.
