    Officer – Loan Review
    Bank Dhofar

    The Role
    Primary responsibility is to undertake Loan Reviews under Loan Review Mechanism Policy which involves independent and constant evaluation of the quality of loan book for bringing qualitative improvements in various processes such as credit approval, risk assessment, risk rating, credit administration, documentation / security processes, compliance with internal policies and regulatory norms etc; evaluation of portfolio quality.

    Requirements
    Principal accountabilities

    • Evaluate credit appraisal , approval and risk assessment processes so as to identify major deviations from the internal guidelines , procedures and policies
    • Review facility documentation and security held in the Account to identify any deviations / irregularities noticed in documentation vis-à-vis sanction terms, credit policies and procedures.
    • Review the process of release of facilities as per sanctioned terms, Bank’s guidelines and compliance with conditions for monitoring end-use of funds
    • Review the correctness of details in the system in respect of limits, rates , validity, grades etc as per approved terms and ascertain the Account behaviour , instances of excesses , past dues etc
    • Review the quality of post sanction follow up and supervision such as the mechanism followed in monitoring covenants, contract progress/ receivables and cash flows.
    • Review risk rating of the Accounts as per the Bank’s policies
    • Review the latest credit statistical data of the Borrower, classification status and appearance in caution list under BCSB system.
    • Monitor compliance with the Bank’s policies and regulatory guidelines in overall credit management
    • Preparation of review reports for MCC and monitor compliance / regularization by concerned divisions in respect of irregularities noticed in LRM.
    • Preparation of reports of unresolved major deficiencies and follow up compliance with Wholesale Banking division.
    • Ensuring that all loan reviews are conducted within the stipulated time frame , diarizing the approved facilities yet to be disbursed. Maintaining a standard / taking a lead role in completing the maximum reviews and by avoiding errors and lapses in communication and presentation

    Supervisor – Credit Control

    The Role
    Primary responsibility is to collect various reports / MIS / information from various departments, consolidate, maintain and review credit control returns as per given responsibilities and to follow up with concerned departments / ARMs so as to ensure compliance , prepare reports etc.

    Requirements
    Principal accountabilities

    • Monitor various portfolio exposure ceilings as stipulated in Credit Risk Policy forSingle Obligor, Large exposures, Senior Member, Overseas Lending, different Economic Sectors, Real Estate , Stock Market, Personal Loan, Housing Loans etc by analysing the reports filed / prepared by other departments , data in the system, creating appropriate database and updating at quarterly intervals.
    • Analyse expired Corporate Credit limits from the system, generate appropriate MIS / build appropriate database system to monitor renewals.
    • Monitor suspension and then restoration of credit facilities by WBD in respect of borrowers who default to submit audited financials as per regulatory norms.
    • Assist the Loan Review Officers / Managers in the process of Loan Review Mechanism by collecting statistical information from the Core Banking in respect of o/s., limits , turnover , account behaviour, pricing , validity , grades etc , obtaining credit files and copies of other important papers from various sources such as Wholesale Banking, Credit Admin., Trade Finance etc
    • Apart from assisting Loan Review officers in various processes of Loan Reviews, should be able to take self-initiatives for learning and developing necessary skills required for assisting / conducting such reviews independently whenever required.
    • Diarising and collecting various MIS/ reports from various departments , maintaining various databases for portfolio reviews as per departmental requirements on monthly basis.
    • Maintaining all correspondence of the department at a centralized place with efficient filing system and maintaining parallel system in the server in soft form/ by scanning all important documents / LRMs to comply with BCP requirements.
    • Handling fixed assets inventory and all administrative requirements of the department and keeping proper records of the same
    • Assist in development of any other MIS for improvising credit control /review processes and handling any other responsibilities in Credit Control area as may be assigned by the seniors from time to time.
    • Shouldering higher assignments of other departmental staff in their absence or as per new assignments entrusted to the Department by management or by superiors

      Manager – Loan Review

      The Role
      Primary responsibility is to implement Loan Review Mechanism (LRM) which involves independent and constant evaluation of the quality of loan book for bringing qualitative improvements in various processes such as credit approval, risk assessment, risk rating, credit administration, sufficiency of documentation / security process, compliance with internal policies and regulatory norms etc and evaluation of the overall portfolio quality to isolate problem areas and to ensure adequacy of provisions..

      Requirements
      Principal accountabilities

      • Identify and diarise the accounts to be brought under LRM within the prescribed time frame. Account specific reviews of Corporate Credit Accounts to be conducted within 3 months from the date of last sanction / renewal.
      • Evaluate credit appraisal , approval and risk assessment processes so as to identify major deviations from the internal guidelines , procedures and policies
      • Review facility documentation and security held in the Account to identify any deviations / irregularities noticed in documentation vis-à-vis sanction terms, credit policies and procedures.
      • Review the process of release of facilities as per sanctioned terms, Bank’s guidelines and compliance with conditions for monitoring end-use of funds
      • Evaluate non-compliance with the prescribed covenants
      • Review the correctness of details in the system in respect of limits, rates , validity, grades etc as per approved terms and ascertain the Account behaviour , instances of excesses , past dues etc
      • Review the quality of post sanction follow up and supervision such as the mechanism followed in monitoring covenants, contract progress/ receivables and cash flows.
      • Review risk rating of the Accounts as per the Bank’s policies & recommend appropriate revision based on loan review findings
      • Review the latest credit statistical data of the Borrower, classification status and appearance in caution list under BCSB system.
      • Isolate the problem accounts based on review and suggest corrective measure.
      • Preparation of reports of unresolved / major deficiencies and follow up for regularization / compliance with Wholesale Banking division.
      • Preparation of review reports for MCC and monitor compliance / regularization by concerned divisions in respect of irregularities noticed in LRM.
      • Isolate the major findings and prepare reports for Executive Committee of the Board. Prepare report on unresolved deficiencies for Risk Committee of the Board.
      • Monitor compliance with the Bank’s policies and regulatory guidelines in overall credit / credit risk management and to ensure adequacy of provisions .
      • Undertake reviews / development of any other MIS for improvising credit control /review processes and handling any other responsibilities in Credit Control area as may be assigned by the management/ departmental head from time to time.
      • Handle assignments of other staff in their absence as per Dept’s requirements and impart training to sub-ordinate staff on continuous basis.

        The Role
        Responsible for marketing and maintenance of Bank’s corporate advances portfolio aimed at quality customer service and maximum contribution of the growth and profits of the Bank without exposing it to undue risk

        Requirements
        Key tasks and duties:
        • Formulates and implements on approval, marketing strategies required of the Division with the objective of maximising revenue/yield and quality assets.
        • Achieve the annual business targets for the year which are set and conveyed officially.
        • Responsible for preparation of credit proposals, structuring, negotiating, maintaining criteria for sanction and advising customers on strategy, structure and business proposals.
        • Approves credit limits/excesses within delegated powers and recommends facilities/excesses beyond powers to the Management / Executive Committee for approval through proper channels. Ensures timely completion of offer letter, facilitates acceptance, documentation and other formalities for securing the interest of the Bank.
        • Monitors the use of facilities granted to customers in order to find out utilisation and delinquency trends.
        • Ensures cross-selling of Bank’s Trade Finance and other products retail products and liabilities products to the existing and new clients to improve the overall Account profitability.
        • Monitors the unutilised accounts in order to explore reasons for not utilising facilities by personal follow-up. Initiates and recommends corrective action including redressal of grievances/issues as required.
        • Ensures timely and accurate submission of reports and returns to the Management for decision making and review and to regulatory agencies as required.
        • Preparing/Coordinating /Monitoring the MIS for the department with specific regards to the following:
        a. Weekly departmental performance reports
        b. Daily Exception reports
        c. Special Mentioned/Early Alert/Classified accounts
        d. Overdues/excesses
        e. Renewal of accounts
        f. Classification/Provisioning including under IAS 39
        g. Credit proposal turnaround and inward mail response time
        • Identifies the training and developmental priorities of the staff under him particularly Omanis ensures that staff are adequately skilled to meet the future requirements of the Bank.

            Head of Capital Markets and Structure

            The Role
            Develops and implements structured products and treasury marketing plan, manages and controls the financial assets and funding requirements of the bank and utilization of the Banks funds in the most optimal manner so as to maximize profit within the risk parameters and maintaining new products to our corporate clients.

            Requirements
            • Effectively manage the financial markets activities; in particular achieving corporate sales markets funding and investments strategic objectives.
            • Assisting with developing hedging strategies and pricing analysis for corporate and wholesale market products.
            • Provides ideas to corporate clients on their interest rates hedging.
            • Provides structured products to our corporate clients and coordinates with Relationship Managers for their clients hedging requirements.
            • Responsible for the management of net foreign exchange exposure by hedging forex risk. Authorizes the dealing in forex and on the money market on behalf of the bank in accordance with overall objectives and the regulatory framework so as to earn adequate dealing profit and meet the operational requirements of the bank. Drafts policies and procedures regarding conduct of the forex business and managing foreign exchange risks for approval of the management.
            • Identifies the need for funds in local currency/foreign currency to match the operations of the bank and lending thought the credit department and implements optimal funding strategies. Accepts deposit from financial institution and clients at rates favorable to the bank.
            • Monitors the viability of funds for gainful utilization and placement/investment with approved financial institution and proceeds as per approvals and guidelines of the management.
            • Markets the forex and large deposit business for the bank by identifying profitable opportunities and concentrating resources on those areas that product the best return.
            • Gives and negotiates rates for placement of funds and sourcing of funds. Advises the branches /offices about exchange/interest rates to be quoted to customers.
            • Ensures that the stipulated liquidity ratio is maintained and the reserve specified by CBO is met, including placement of deposits with CBO as appropriate.
            • Liaises with investment institutions, investment brokers, banks &financial institutions and regulatory authorities for treasury management.
            • Continually reviews departmental reports and statements on the P&L Liquidity, cash flow and advises Management of Significant tends to manage the Asset-Liability position of the Bank. Identifies measures and manages all interest rate and currency risk.
            • Visits Treasury Corporate clients and Strengthen relationship with Ministry, Pension Funds and major customers.
