The public authority for consumer protection and in cooperation with OTE recently launched a recalling campaign for 5 Chevrolet Aveo model 2015...based on the chassis numbers:
From (KL1TD5B70FB122354) to (KL1TJ5B7XFB146511)
The reason of this recall was the possibility of the welding point between the handbrake panel base for stopping and plate of the front lower floor of the vehicle has been made using cold welding technology, in this case it might lead to the separation of the handbrake base when stopping, as the welding points are damaged over time and lead to a lack of work and efficiency of this system, therefore, the company will examine the weld points, and strengthen the weak welding points by rivets.
These recalls came in the framework of the efforts undertaken by the authority in the traffic safety field and in collaboration with car agencies, and in line with the continuous care to conduct continuous reviews of all products offered in the Sultanate markets, in order to provide the necessary protection for consumers in all fields
