MUSCAT: Based on the Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Majlis Ash’shura will begin its third annual session (2021-2022) of the ninth term, on Sunday November 7, 2021.
This was stated by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura.
Al Nadabi said that Majlis Ash’shura will begin its third annual session on November 7 in accordance to Article (38) of the Council of Oman Law which states that the Council of Oman should convene its regular session for no less than eight months a year which begins during the month of November on an invitation from His Majesty.
The Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura added that the first regular meeting will see the reelection of six members to complement the council’s membership and the nomination of the chairmen and vice-chairmen of the standing committees as per the council’s regulations. — ONA
