Muscat: Qais Mohammad al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion met in his office on Wednesday with Ranil Jayawardena, UK Minister for International Trade.
The meeting discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries. It also reviewed growth indicators of intra-trade and means of boosting them, as well as ways to increase the volume of trade exchange and joint investments.
The two ministers touched on the progress of negotiations on the free trade agreement between the GCC countries and the UK.
The meeting was attended by Dr Saleh Said Masan, the ministry’s Undersecretary for Commerce and Industry, Bill Murray, UK ambassador to the Sultanate and a number of officials from both sides. –ONA
