TUNIS: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Information, has won a number of awards in the official competitions at the 21st Arab Radio and Television Festival held in Tunisia.
Oman TV programme the Week’s File, directed and presented by Yusef bin Hameed al Yusefy, won the TV Innovation award.
The Sultanate of Oman Radio bagged three awards and came in second place in the category of the Radio Coordination (the Comprehensive Radio Exchange award) on the level of the Arab radios. The Sultanate of Oman Radio programme ‘Bibasata’ won the first prize in the category of scientific programmes (simplifying science). The Sultanate’s radio station also won the second award in the music and songs category for its Helm Al Tareeq (dream of the road) song.
Al Istiqam channel’s programme (celebrities between seriousness and triviality) won the second award in the category of dialogue programmes.
The radio programme (between heaven and earth), presented by Al Wisal Radio, won second place in the entertainment category. — ONA
