Muscat: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, on behalf of the Omani youth, has expressed thanks and gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on the occasion of the Omani Youth Day.
HH Sayyid Theyazin presided over a virtual celebration of the Omani Youth Day on Wednesday. He delivered a speech on this occasion during which he said that His Majesty accords great attention to Omani youths and that the designation of the 26th of October each year to mark the Omani Youth Day stems from the belief on the leading role of the Omani youth.
HH Sayyid Theyazin said that the second edition of the Youth Excellence Award, overseen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, represents an honouring for excelling youth and an encouragement for more innovation in various fields.
