Muscat: Dr Laila Ahmed al Najjar, Minister of Social Development met here on Wednesday with Anthony Bellanger, Secretary General of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and Al Hashimi Al Nuwairah, Advisor at the IFJ.
The meeting discussed hosting the 31st congress of the IFJ by Oman Journalists Association (OJA), scheduled to be held in May 2022.
Dr Laila affirmed that hosting these meetings is an opportunity for journalists and media representatives to explore international expertise, as well as to exchange views and information.
She added that hosting the congress of the IFJ is a chance to have a close look at Oman’s potentials in political, cultural, social and tourism fields. –ONA
