Principal Accountabilities
Performing Line Maintenance Repairs and Inspections on (DB-110 Airborne Reconnaissance POD) Systems and Subsystems.
Performs operational checks, bench checks, troubleshoots, and isolates malfunctions in complex DB-110 Airborne Reconnaissance System aircraft equipment.
Perform System Inspections to include: Pre-Flight, Thru-Flight, Post-Flight, Line Replaceable Units (LRU) Checks and General Avionics Repairs
Tests avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and counters, and circuit analyzers.
Adjusts, repairs or replaces components based on test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
Calibrates installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
Practices good housekeeping, tool control, and safety at all times.
Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records.
Trains other team members on general systems of the DB-110 Airborne Reconnaissance Pod System Daily Check and Inspections
Essential Job Functions:
Provide all software updates for the DB-110 POD related lab tools.
Update All POD hardware with current OFP’s.
Operate and maintain the DB-110 POD benches.
Track all Flight hours, MSP codes and OMF’s on the current SCS. Maintain a detailed spread sheet and submit reports to management. Track all maintenance actions and BIT False alarms. In accordance with the current TEMP.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to Conduct On-The-Job Training on (DB-110 Airborne Reconnaissance POD).
Above average knowledge of F-16/F-15 (DB-110 Airborne Reconnaissance POD Systems Safety.
Knowledge of advanced electronic principles and circuit analysis.
Ability to trace signal flow, understand interrelationships of circuits, interpret waveforms and voltages.
Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, engineering drawings and charts of assigned systems.
Excellent soldering and harness/wiring skills, PC board, surface mount and crimping experience.
Working knowledge of all standard test equipment and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work independently and work well on a multinational team.
Experience & Education
High school degree or equivalent.
5+ years of avionics maintenance experience on F-16/F-15 (DB-110 Airborne Reconnaissance Pod) aircraft.
Must have 7-Level or Equivalent with Documented (DB-110 Airborne Reconnaissance Pod)
Experience in F-16/F-15 Avionics Support (DB-110 Airborne Reconnaissance Pod) System.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 75 pounds
Work is outdoors on the ramp. Desert weather conditions of extreme heat and humidity.
May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft.
May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
