Muscat: An expatriate worker has been arrested in Dhofar governorate for cutting trees and using it as firewood.
“The General Directorate of Environment in the Governorate of Dhofar arrested expatriate workers who were cutting and burning firewood from trees. Legal procedures are completed against them and the firewood has been confiscated,” Environment Authority said.
EA added, “The authority calls on everyone to cooperate and report any violations of wildlife through the following dedicated number: 80071999.”
