Muscat: His Majesty, Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, has issued several new directives, including on the price of fuel, promotion for government employees and evaluation of government institutions.
The Ministry of Labour confirmed that more than 28,000 employees will benefit from the promotions.
“His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued directives to promote civil servants of the state’s administrative apparatus. This is an extension of His Majesty’s interest towards the people and his keenness to support and motivate employees in order to raise the level of services and duties undertaken by the government sector,” Oman TV said.
The promotions will be for employees who were appointed in 2011 and it will be implemented at the beginning of 2022. The Ministry of Labour and all relevant government units will take necessary care to implement the directives of His Majesty.
