Muscat: The Government of Japan has conferred the ‘The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold & Silver Star’ on Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Hareb aI Busaidi, former Minister Responsible for Defence affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.
The award is in recognition of his outstanding contributions to enhance defence cooperation between Japan and the Sultanate of Oman.
The Order of the Rising Sun, one of the prestigious decorations inJapan, was introduced in 1975.
The award of the order for mon-Japanese nationals started in 1981.
