Muscat: The Council of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) on Monday held its first meeting of Academic Year 2021-2022 under the chairmanship of Dr Rahma Ibrahim al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Chairperson of the SQU Council.
The meeting looked into the progress of work at the SQU and related updates.
The SQU council studied the outcome of implementation of different decisions and recommendations.
It reviewed the SQU policy and regulations designed to improve performance and commended the efforts made to regularize and standardize internal procedures.
The SQU approved the Master’s Plan programme for orienting vocational guidance at the Department of Psychology, College of Education, in a manner that complies with standards of this specialization in world universities, as well as global accreditation criteria of relevance.
This is in addition to other legal and regulatory issues.
The meeting was attended by HH Sayyid Dr Fahd Al Julanda al Said, Vice Chancellor of the SQU, Deputy Chairman of the SQU Council. –ONA
