Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Assess and cultivate long-term commercial and strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Analyse business user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for BI front-end applications.
Take active part in the design and development of automated forecasting systems and self-service reporting system for all members of the commercial team.
Responsible for the construction of customer-facing reporting tools to provide insights and metrics which track forecast.
To support the development of the latest marketing technology tools to support digital marketing team.
Work closely to the Customer value management team (CVM) to support their requirements and deliverables.
Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary. Act as evangelist for BI benefits across the commercial team and to promote the usage of BI.
Support in AD HOC reporting and management requirements for business models and reporting.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
Advanced commercial, analytical skills and Statistical analysis skills to manage difficult statistical models.
Good understanding of quantitative modelling and statistical analysis and experience building complex data visualization.
Collaborative skills are important. The job requires that you work with economist, statisticians and IT to produce modelling solutions.
Strong ability to analyse user requirements and build front-end BI applications according to specifications.
Full project management and development life cycle experience.
Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives and business KPI.
Possess problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong ability to simplify problems and identify the right data and analytic models to resolve them.
Telecom experience desirable.
3+ years experience in BI, Data Analytics, or relevant Data Science roles.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
University Degree (Business Administration or Computer Science)
Experience with the following tools and technologies:
Hadoop
Relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
Data pipeline/workflow management tools such as Azkaban and Airflow.
Object-oriented/object function scripting languages such as Python, Java, C++, etc.
